Water – Leonardo da Vinci called it ‘the blood of the planet’. A group of people emerges from the water. They try to resist the current of the river and the current of the crowd of people in the city, but surrender to the flow and are washed ashore. On the shore, the stranded seek refuge, love and finding a hold and spare no effort meanwhile. Against or with the flow, resistance and devotion manifest as a basic instinct, as a survival strategy.

In “I U M I“ two bodies are experiencing various forms of being together. Their willingness to compromise guided by the desire of equality and closeness creates a fascinating intensity. Jenna Hendry and Matilda Bilberg offer the audience the opportunity to become aware of their own senses. Intimacy becomes tangible and the question of authenticity becomes an object of observation.
